infected by medicine

a few moments ago i called my dad, thought just wanna chat a bit and talk about my family plans of coming over here to dublin. When he picked up his hand phone, i quickly recognize the familiar 'tut' tut' 'tut' sound in the background...crap,my dad is in the OT and talking on the phone...kurang asam, the patient is lying on the operating table(i can imagine the patient is fairly uncomfortable since it's a table and not a bed...and hopefully he's not the meal, lol) and he is talking to me(albeit a bit reluctant to be fair)...oh well,it's not a serious case i think and since u r the surgeon u r the boss of the room basically..lol..but wat amuse me is at the end of the conversation i suddenly become interested of the case my dad was handling and so i asked. He said it's a surgery to repair a flexor tendon to the little finger,it seems the patients hand got slashed by bottle as an indirect result of CNY..and his next case is a removal of gangrenous big toe from a diabetic patient...yeah..i am getting more interested on what my dad does...yeah...i am becoming a doctor omg...lol..i wonder how and what he felt when he was discussing this little thing with me...was he amused like me as well? proud?..hahaha...maybe one day i should ask him

yeah...that's wat being a med student and becoming a doctor about...slowly but surely ur life will just mostly about medical stuff...even to do extend that we explain certain things in life using medical jargons...call it pathetic or amusing or no life or watever it is..the sad thing is probably only we could understand it,appreciate it and laugh at it.here are some few examples:

"i send my laptop to be chemo-ed"- diarmaid sending his laptop for repairs
"OMG, the cake has tumour" - heard story from ee-ling about their abnormal-shaped cake
"the salami has necrotic..." - heard from myra, describing salami that has gone bad
"i think the cake had congenital malformation" - from ee-ling,explaining the little mistake they
make while baking another cake

.....crap,that's all that i can remember so far...so guys,if any of u can remember any more medical jargon that we used in our daily life, please contribute...maybe we can make a huge list and heck..even publish it...lol
