Current mood:Panicking(like hell...)

• For those who has been following the news in the UK papers especially,they surely know about Gillian,the English teacher who's currently facing a frigthening and yet bizarre event in her life...which at the moment it seems could mean the end of her life....for those who doesn't know about wat is this all about,Gillian is a teacher from England who's been teaching in war torn Sudan and now facing jail sentence and now even possibly death(it seems some even demanded that) just because....she gives the idea to one of her student to name a teddy bear....Mohammed......wth?? Here is a woman who out of humanity reasons left her safe and comfortable home to help teach the kids in poor Sudan and suddenly out of nowhere face a nightmare just because of possibly a naive act in allowing her pupil to name a teddy Mohammed. Apparently she was accused of insulting Islam by naming the teddy Mohammed...the teddy that will be loved by at least one kid(hmm..since when loving is insulting)..Well,ok...so it might be wrong to love Rasulullah in such way,i know as much that any visual or audio depictions of Rasulullah is wrong(although i heard once that the reason for that is actually just to prevent our Rasulullah to be glorified and prayed to....basically tak nak penyembahan berlaku) so pls do tell me in what other way is mentioning our Rasulullah is wrong...but even so,i don't think the teacher actually meant the name Mohammed as our Rasululah Mohammed because apparently he kid's name is also Mohammed..hmm... The way i see it..she was just being naive and in no way of meaning harm..plus..how many people on this world has the name Mohammed?? And lastly...can't she be that stupid to insult while being behing enemy line?? Sigh... this is a result of people being irrational and possibly paranoid that our religion is being tainted...this is not how our religion suppose to be? We should be the one that are understanding and can compromise,not being rigid and irrational...It saddens me that she was being sentenced in the first place. Probably a warning or even exile would do..she's definitely can't be senteced under Syariah Law because i believe that's a law that can only be applied on Muslims...So ok,she's only sentenced for 15 days for insulting Islam..well,fine..at least it's quite short and no lashing...but then suddenly these fanatical,irrational people without knowldege(well,at least even they have commited a sin,a sin for not learning properly) go to the streets,demanding her death...And some of us wonder why Muslim are being look down upon...pls...i pray that in the end common sense and the real and proper truth will prevail(there are a lot of real truths,but the real and proper truths are truths that comes with rational reasons,evidence and proper interpretation of evidence). I think among the wonderful things about Islam is it's flexibility which include the flexibility to merge with local customs like in Malaysia(adat bersanding is hindu in origin) but if it's wrongly abuse it can merge with irrational local customs and after some time the customs is regarded as part of the religion itself...It is my hypothesis that it is true that all of Sunnah Rasulullah is an example that we should follow but at the same time... the Sunnah is influenced by the local customs, the Arab customs...just something we should think about coz in the end,we Muslims are trusted to make a proper use and interpretation of wat have been handed down to us...the Al-Quran and the Sunnah...oh well,i tihnk i've write long enough..am suppose to study..hehehe but i just can't stand wat's been happening in Sudan which i believe is a stupidity stems from rigidity without rationality,ignorance and blind devotion and believe to the religious leader(pls la..they are human like us,is not like they get special revelance or anything...they can make mistake as well)

(Real truth is demanded from all of us..but even so truth need to be backed by a proper reasoning..because truth is neutral,it can be or even devastating)
